Choosing the right grass species for lawns is now impacted by climate change, leading to increasing demand for heat-tolerant grasses
Climate change and its impact on water accessibility for irrigation has now become a factor when choosing the most appropriate species for lawns. We are therefore increasingly looking at drought and heat-tolerant grasses that are already widely used in Southern Europe, and we are experiencing increasing demand for these grass varieties. Our temperate grasses complement heat-tolerant grasses for overseeding during the winter half of the year so that lawns retain active growth all year round.
In the summer of 2022, our team in France arranged a training day with the university in Pisa, Italy, to highlight the challenges and opportunities for finding solutions in this market segment.
