FOJTAN - a new, highly digestible, grazing-tolerant festulolium

From crop 2016, we have now commercial seed of our new festulolium FOJTAN available.

FOJTAN is a tall fescue type of festulolium and is lower growing and more fine-leaved compared to the normal tall fescue types like HYKOR and FELINA. At the same time, FOJTAN has an increased digestibility and a very high persistency.

FOJTAN is part of the new generation within the tall fescue types of festulolium and a huge step forward in bringing palatability into the tall fescue for grazing. This brings even more sustainability to grassland as drought tolerance and winter-hardiness are part of FOJTAN’s features.
