DAISY

DAISY

Medicago sativa

Alfalfa/Lucerne

Excellent Verticillium Resistance

Variety Type
DAISY is a Flemish dormant type with medium thick stems. DAISY has a medium early spring growth, early flowering and a very vigorous growth in summer and autumn.

Maintaining Yield
The very high degree of resistance to Verticillium Wilt avoids drying out of leaves and disappearance of plants, which ensures that DAISY maintains the high yield of dry matter and high protein content. The high protein content is combined with a high digestibility, which allows higher animal intake and production.

High General Disease Resistance
DAISY has not only a very good resistance to Verticillium but also the resistance against Ditylenchus nematodes (stem nematode) has been improved.

  • High stable yields
  • High protein content
  • Good leaf/stem ratio
  • Dormancy group 4
