FAT CAT

FAT CAT

Festuca arundinacea

Tall fescue

Aggressively tillering, disease tolerant, dark green variety

Aggressive tillering

With pronounced lateral growth by aggressive tillering, FatCat offers good competition to weed and performs well under high wear exposure. This is evident in the 2007-11 NTEP trials (Schedule A, turfgrass quality), where FatCat performs better than the average of tested varieties in almost all trial sites.

Disease tolerance

FatCat has shown good tolerance to brown patch and also tolerance to pink snow mould in NTEP 2007-11 data.

Uses

FatCat will perform fine in full sun or partial shade in sport fields and lawns in areas, even with frequent dry spells due to the deep rooting and excellent persistency. The wear tolerance is high.

  • Aggressive tillering
  • High fall density = ready for the winter
  • Disease resistant
  • Semi-dwarf growth
